More Salem Quilt Guild Witches to Stitch

Last week in my most I mentioned I purchased the newest Salem Quilt Guild pattern from Crabapple Hill Studio, well during the week I purchased some of the new fabrics and a panel from Maywood Studio that coordinate with the Show and Tell embroidery pattern.

The pieces are so bright and cheerful I just couldn't resist them I purchased a few other pieces but they haven't arrived yet.

I haven't made as much progress on the Aine hand embroidery piece as I had hoped but a few stitches are better than none.
I have a few regrets adding backing to the piece and using the pearl cotton while it stitches okay sticking the needle through the fabric is a bit harder than I expected which surprises me since the backing fabric is quite thin. Right now I am debated pulling out all the thread and either removing the backing of using regular embroidery floss or just keep on stitching.

In the mean time I have another project drawn and ready here is a little sneak peek at what I will be working on next.
I'm using a piece of the neutral paisley fabric I love so much for this piece. I will be linking my post to Kathy's Quilts today and at Super Mom No Cape on Monday.

  2. What fun fabrics to go with a neat stitching project! Good luck with your decision on the pearl cotton. That is always a tough one.
