Stitching

How is it we are in the last week of September so soon?  It seems like yesterday I was celebrating Labor Day and my sisters birthday and now October is on her way. If only the weather would catch on and cool down a little more.

I did make time for so and embroidery yesterday and hope to make time later today to get in some more stitches.

I put more stitches in the sashiko piece and started the new piece I gave a sneak peek on my Sunday post.
I love stitching bare tree branches almost as much as I enjoy sketching them, I used a variegated floss for the branch.
I'm going to link my post at http://www.supermomnocape.com/vintage-embroidery-monday-stitchery-link-party-129/

Before I go I'll leave a photo of some pretty Fall colors, while I don't have them to view out my window I can view them right here on my screen.
My friend sent me this photo in an email and I thought I would share.  Wouldn't you just love to stroll along through all those leaves and trees?

  3. Your stitching on those branches is very pretty. I really like the way the variegated floss works with them.

  7. I love both projects you're working on! And yes, bare tree branches are fun to sketch and to stitch. The fun too, is in deciding whether to leave them bare or cover them with leaves with only bits and pieces still peeking through.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
